For my portfolio website I'm using Jekyll site generator on GitHub pages. I wanted full creative freedom without being restrained by a CMS or template. The ease of setting up and the ability of updating it through git from anywhere is a huge bonus. The site is set up fairly static, no database is needed, but uses Liquid templates for dynamic aspects and to seperate content from markup.

In creating the animated hero image on the front page I received help from my dear friend and designer Claudia Agostinho.

Voor mijn portfolio website gebruik ik de Jekyll site generator op GitHub pages. Ik wilde niet beperkt zijn door templates of een CMS maar wel eenvoudig en snel een website online kunnen krijgen. Het feit dat de site eenvoudig vanuit waar dan ook kan worden geupdate door middel van git is een pré. Er is geen database, de pagina's zijn statisch maar gebruiken Liquid templates for dynamische aspecten en verzorgen de scheiding tussen opmaak en inhoud.

Voor de animatie op de front page heb ik de hulp van goede vriendin en designer Claudia Agostinho mogen ontvangen.
